Visit to Turramurra Sikh Temple

I had the opportunity to visit the Guru Nanak Gurudwara Turramurra Sikh Temple in Turramurra recently. While I was there I met Dr Daman Deep Singh Bhatia, Dr Kunwardeep Singh Bhatia, and Parneet Singh Bhatia, who had a chat to me about their CultureCare initiative – a fantastic program to raise awareness about the high rates of diabetes and heart disease within the Punjabi community in Australia. CultureCare offers a free educational mobile app, free pop-up clinics to identify potential health problems and help find a local GP who speaks Punjabi, and exercise programs.
