SHARE Lunar New Year Event at King Dynasty Restaurant in Chatswood
The SHARE Lunar New Year event at King Dynasty Restaurant in Chatswood attracted some 350 participants to celebrate the Year of the Rabbit (or for Vietnamese the Year of the Cat) and many local political figures including Alister Henskens MP , Matt Cross - Liberal Candidate for Davidson, Ku-ring-gai Deputy Mayor Barbara Ward, Hornsby Mayor Philip Ruddock and Willoughby Councillor Brendan Zhu. It was a powerful demonstration of the size and vigour of our multicultural communities on the North Shore including Australians of Chinese, Korean, Indian, Nepalese and many other backgrounds. Share does amazing work providing exercise classes to over 50s in our community. I was pleased to be there and to have the honour of dotting the eye of the dragon, a traditional act which symbolises good luck.
