Catch-up with local businesses in the electorate

Covid has been tough on many in 2021, and small businesses have been hit particularly hard, by extended lockdowns and mandatory closures.

I checked in on some local businesses, to hear about how they have fared throughout the year.

Café Feoh – a Lindfield institution, is known by local tradies, commuters and my electorate office – for their delicious Vietnamese flavours – I spoke with Thuy about how the support of the local community helped her business get through the pandemic. In Roseville Park, I chatted with Olivier - Owner and Manager of French café and restaurant – Sous le Soleil, who explained their biggest challenges of the past 18 months. Click here to listen to my conversation with Olivier.

I also caught up with Dale at Roseville Fresh Foods, who has owned and managed the business for 5 years. Dale’s business benefitted from the Australian Government’s cash flow boost – with which Dale was able to purchase a new refrigerator to stock product.
