Upgrade will improve safety, ease congestion

A re-elected Turnbull Government will ease congestion and improve safety at the intersection of Wanneroo and Ocean Reef Roads.

This commitment will benefit thousands of commuters across the northern suburbs, particularly Wanneroo, Pearsall, Hocking and Wangara.

The $20 million upgrade will ease traffic congestion, improve safety and support better north-south traffic flow.

Luke Simpkins has been a strong local advocate for advancing infrastructure in Cowan and the intersection at Ocean Reef Road and Wanneroo Road has been raised frequently during his engagement with residents.

The project will make a real difference for residents throughout Wanneroo, and will improve accessibility to the Wangara-Landsdale Industrial strip, further supporting the Turnbull Government’s commitment to jobs and growth in Western Australia.

Luke visited the intersection with Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull last week as part of his advocacy for this project.

This is on top of funding that a re-elected Turnbull Government will deliver to the Perth Freight Link, Northlink and Forrestfield Airport Link.

Building 21st Century infrastructure is part of our carefully structured plan to drive jobs and growth and a secure future for Australian families.
