New Australians and Citizen of the Year all on the Australia Day Agenda

“With Australia day around the corner, I would like to offer my congratulations to all Australians participating in Citizenship ceremonies on Thursday’ Paul Fletcher MP, Member for Bradfield said today.

 

Mr Fletcher will be attending Ceremonies for Ku-ring-gai and Hornsby Council’s to welcome Australia’s newest citizens.

 

‘New citizen ceremonies are a vital part of Australia Day celebrations as each year we see more and more people choosing to identify themselves as “Australian”, and that’s what makes the Australia Day ceremonies so special’

 

‘I am looking forward to what will be my third year presenting at citizenship ceremonies and it is now a very special part of my Australia Day celebrations’

 

Mr Fletcher will also be present at the Citizen of the year awards present for Ku-ring-gai Council, which includes full Australia Day celebrations to be held at Bicentennial Park in West Pymble.

 

‘The Citizen of the Year Awards are enormously important recognising people in the community that have performed outstanding acts of citizenship throughout the year, often thanklessly’

 

‘Whether individually or as part as a community group or charity organisation, recipients should be proud of the work they do to serve their local community’

 

Mr Fletcher offers his congratulations and encouragement to all who were nominated for Ku-ring-gai Council’s Citizen of the Year Awards.
