CONCERN OVER CURRENT SITUATION IN ARTSAKH

Federal Member for Bradfield, Paul Fletcher MP, today expressed his concerns with the ongoing situation in the Republic of Artsakh.

Information coming from the region indicates that Artsakh has been under blockade since earlier this week, and all natural-gas pipelines have been cut off to the region.

Mr Fletcher said, “I am worried about the ongoing situation occurring in the Republic of Artsakh. My local community has a strong and proud Armenian-Australian population who have continued to raise this matter with me. What has transpired over the last week is a troubling development.

“I call on the Foreign Minister Penny Wong and the Albanese Government to take action on this matter, and advocate for the people of Artsakh on behalf of the Armenian-Australian community.”
