Foreign Investment and F3/M2 Missing Link on Top of Agenda at Community Meeting

Foreign investment in agricultural land and the proposed F3/M2 Missing Link were two of the key issues raised by local residents at a Community Meeting held by Member for Bradfield Paul Fletcher in Waitara recently.

‘These meetings give residents the opportunity to raise issues of concern – and in turn this helps me be an effective advocate for the people of Bradfield, Mr Fletcher said.

Some thirty residents of Bradfield attended the meeting.

‘At the meeting I briefed residents on the Coalition’s recently released Policy Discussion Paper on Foreign Investment in Australian Agricultural Land and Agribusiness.  This led to a lively discussion of the pros and cons of foreign investment in this vital sector.

‘I also updated residents on the recent announcement by Transurban that it has lodged an unsolicited bid with the NSW government for a proposal to build a motorway tunnel linking the F3 and M2 underneath Pennant Hills Rd.

‘We discussed a number of other issues and I obtained some very useful feedback, Mr Fletcher said.

‘I would like to thank all of those who attended.

‘I hold community meetings regularly, in different parts of the electorate and at different times of the day and night.  Residents who are interested in attending future meetings should watch for announcements in the NST and HA or call my office to ask to be notified of upcoming meetings,’ Mr Fletcher concluded.
