Fletcher Congratulates Barry O’Farrell On A Job Well Done

'I congratulate Barry O’Farrell on a job well done,' said Paul Fletcher Member for Bradfield, responding to Mr O'Farrell's announcement that he will step down as Member for Ku-ring-gai at the next state election.

'Barry O’Farrell served the people of NSW and Ku-ring-gai with distinction in an outstanding political career.

'I also want to particularly thank Barry for the support and encouragement he has given me, both during the 2009 Bradfield by-election and subsequently.

'For five years we have worked closely together in serving our constituents across the extensive areas which fall within both the state seat of Ku-ring-gai and the federal seat of Bradfield.

'I have admired Barry as a hard-working local member especially given that for much of that time he was also a senior frontbencher, Leader of the Opposition or Premier. 

‘I thank Barry and his wife Rosemary for their service - and wish them well for the next phase of life,’ said Paul Fletcher.
