Bradfield National Volunteer Award Winners Announced

‘The threads woven by volunteers are so important to strengthen the fabric of our society’, Paul Fletcher Member for Bradfield said today, as he announced the winners of the National Volunteer Awards in Bradfield.

‘The National Volunteer Awards Program is a way to recognise the wonderful work of our volunteers in Bradfield’.

Mr Fletcher said that the Bradfield National Volunteer Award winners were chosen by a judging panel consisting of him; Councillor and Former Ku-ring-gai Mayor Jennifer Anderson; and Turramurra and Lindfield Community Banks Chairman David Langdon.

The recipients of the Bradfield National Volunteer Awards were:

  • Business Volunteer Award: Richard Stokes
  • Innovation in Volunteering Award: Lindfield Public School Social Justice Committee
  • Youth Volunteer Award: Helena Cheung
  • Long Term Commitment to Volunteering Award: Christopher Waite
  • MP’s Volunteer of the Year Award: Sydney Adventist Hospital HealthCare Outreach Team

‘I congratulate the winners, they have all made outstanding contributions’, Mr Fletcher said.

‘I also want to acknowledge the thousands of volunteers we have in Bradfield. Each of you, in helping others, is helping all of us – and helping build a richer and more worthwhile community’.
