Bradfield marks ANZAC Day

ANZAC Day will be marked in many remembrance ceremonies across the electorate of Bradfield on Friday 25 April 2014.

Member for Bradfield Paul Fletcher will attend several services and events across the electorate including attending a special ANZAC Day rugby match at Chatswood Oval and the Kokoda Memorial ceremony in Wahroonga.

Mr Fletcher said the community’s support and involvement in ANZAC Day demonstrates the appreciation Australians have for our servicemen and women.

“On ANZAC day we remember the sacrifices made by so many Australians – sacrifices made in defence of a way of life and a set of values which we cherish as Australians.

“As the centenary of ANZAC approaches, it is encouraging to see the community’s desire to keep the spirit of ANZAC alive. Each local ANZAC event and celebration acknowledges the sacrifices made,” Mr Fletcher said.

Mr Fletcher will attend the following local events:

-       Roseville Dawn Service, Memorial Park, Roseville

-       World War 1 Memorial cnr Illoura and Millewa Avenues, Wahroonga - 7-7.30am
