Bradfield in Bloom

Local artist Suzanne Lane’s prize winning artwork, ‘Flannel Flowers’ has been selected for use Federal Member for Bradfield Paul Fletcher on his 2013 Christmas card.

Winning the Member for Bradfield’s Award at the Ku-ring-gai Art Society’s 48th Annual Awards Exhibition this year, Suzanne’s work captures the iconic flannel flower – common around Bradfield in the spring. 

“Showcasing the rich talent of our electorate is something of which I am keen to pursue and Suzanne’s work is great example of this”, Mr Fletcher said.

“This card will be distributed to local community members and widely across the Bradfield Electorate and to my parliamentary colleagues – including Prime Minister Tony Abbott.

“This card has been delivered to local letterboxes in Bradfield this week.

“I wanted an image that captured the unique qualities of our local area – and I think that Suzanne’s image does exactly that”.
