Bradfield Community Meeting Calls on Gillard to Apologise

A Community Meeting held by Paul Fletcher MP, Member for Bradfield has resolved to call on Prime Minister Julia Gillard to apologise for her divisive and inappropriate comments about Sydney’s North Shore.

 The comments were met by outrage at the Community Meeting with almost 50 Bradfield constituents unanimously passing a motion that:

‘This meeting of Bradfield residents expresses its concern and disappointment at the suggestion by the Prime Minister that the North Shore of Sydney is not part of the real world and is not populated by real families, and calls on the Prime Minister to apologise to the people of Sydney’s North Shore for her remarks’.

 Attendees at the Community Meeting raised a number of issues including the F3/M2 missing Link, the impact of the Carbon Tax and Border Security.
