A timely thought for our troops

Federal Member for Bradfield Paul Fletcher has encouraged the local community to demonstrate its support for Australian Defence Force (ADF) members who will be away from family and friends this Christmas.

“Many people in our community are keen to acknowledge the more than 2,900 Defence personnel on overseas operations at this time of the year. Community donations and messages are very much appreciated by the different charities and organisations that support our troops,” said Mr Fletcher.

To show support there are four simple options available:

-          A donation to either Legacy or Soldier On: www.legacy.com.au or www.soldieron.org.au;

-          A contribution to the RSL’s ‘Australian Forces Overseas Fund’ via the ‘Supporting ADF Personnel’ link on www.rsl.org.au;

-          Send an email message to [email protected]; or

-          A care package can be sent free of charge via Australia Post – www.auspost.com.au – see website for details and conditions.
