The NBN and Bradfield

The Turnbull Government is getting Australia connected to the NBN. The rollout is on track to be completed nationally by 2020, and additional rollout areas are being added to the forward schedule regularly.

When the Coalition came into government in 2013, just 300,000 premises across Australia were able to purchase an NBN service.

Since then, rollout progress has dramatically increased – the NBN was made available to 1 million premises by June 2015, then 2 million premises by April 2016.

Now the NBN is available to 3 million premises – and the rollout continues to gather pace. Under the Coalition, the NBN is ahead of schedule and on-budget, and is on track to be available to 5.4 million premises by 30 June 2017 and over 9 million premises by 30 June 2018.

Locally, 3,690 homes are already connected to the NBN in Bradfield (around Chatswood and Killara). The compares to just one single property connected when the Coalition Government was elected in 2013.

The schedule for NBN rollout for the rest of Bradfield has been issued. Below are the local exchanges and the date that work will commence on connecting the NBN to homes.
