Thank you

What a wonderful day Saturday was.  Thank you to the people of Bradfield for showing your support.  I am honoured and humbled to have been elected as your Member for Bradfield.

For all those who have helped me during the past few weeks and on polling day, a special thank you.  We could not have had this result, without your support and hard work.

Visiting the polling booths during the day with my predecessor, Brendan Nelson, I was reminded of the magnitude of the task ahead.  Brendan was welcomed everywhere he went and the warmth and good wishes he received showed the high regard with which he is held in the community.  It is a daunting task to follow in his footsteps.

However I am eager to take on this challenge.  Throughout the campaign, I said I would be a strong Liberal voice for Bradfield.  Now it will be time to turn that talk into action, on issues including over-development, Hornsby Hospital and against Labor’s growing debt.

Thank you for putting your trust in me.  I look forward to serving the people of Bradfield.

Paul's Blog: Office Opening

It’s exciting to have our Campaign Office officially open for business.  We have a great location on the Pacific Highway and near the Lindfield Railway Station.  Have a look at the ribbon cutting video on this website.

People are already dropping into the office to say hello and have a chat.  I really enjoy listening to people’s views and discussing what we can do to fix the problems in the community.

Paul's Blog: Best Enemies film launch

I was really impressed the other night when I went to the launch of a new film, Best Enemies, about the issue of cyber bullying.

You hear about this being a problem and it was fascinating to see how the younger members of the audience re-acted to the video.

Paul's Blog: A great long weekend

Enjoyed the long weekend, even with all the rain. It gave Manuela and I some time for house-hunting which is going very well. Looking forward to choosing a place very soon. It was also good to spend time with the family and meet people around the electorate. Thanks to everyone who said hello at the Hornsby shops on Saturday morning.

Paul's Blog: Pre-selection

What a day at the Hornsby RSL!

It was a long but rewarding process to be selected by the local Liberal Party members and delegates, as their candidate for the seat of Bradfield.
