| Bradfield By-Election A Chance To Send A Strong Message To Labor |
|
“I’m delighted that the date for the Bradfield by-election has now been set for Saturday 5th December,” said Paul Fletcher, the Liberal candidate for Bradfield. “The by-election will be an opportunity for the people of Bradfield to voice their concerns.” “The people of Bradfield know only too well how a Labor government treats citizens – as they suffer Labor’s relentless overdevelopment in the Ku-ring-gai area.” “Not only has Labor imposed huge growth on the Ku-ring-gai area, it has also removed the capacity of the local community to decide where the new developments are to be built – by removing planning powers from Ku-ring-gai Council and handing them to a planning panel.” “The same disastrous formula that Labor has applied in New South Wales is now being replicated federally.” “Australia is going in the wrong direction – with Labor spending recklessly, racking up debt, and telling Australians that government knows best.” “For example, we believe in supporting those who choose to take the pressure off the public health system by investing in private health insurance. That choice is under attack by Labor and the Greens.” “As I talk to people at railway stations in Pymble and Turramurra, shopping centres in Hornsby and Chatswood, and many other places, I am hearing that they are concerned about the direction our country is going in.” “The Bradfield by-election is a chance to send a strong message about those concerns.” “I encourage the people of Bradfield to use the by-election to send a strong message to Labor.” Mr Fletcher has already been busy campaigning, with the Campaign Office at 315 Pacific Highway, Lindfield open for the community to visit and raise issues directly with him. “Just as Brendan has been, I am determined to be a strong Liberal voice for Bradfield,” said Mr Fletcher. |
