| ETS and climate change |

“Climate change is a very important issue. We need to make sure we get this issue right and give the planet the benefit of the doubt. As the Greens said, Labor’s ETS was a failure in tackling climate change. The responsible course is for us to take action. But it needs to be action as a planet – Australia cannot act ahead of the world. This is too important an issue to rush, just so Kevin Rudd could strut the world stage at Copenhagen. I will be a strong Liberal voice on the environment, along with a range of other issues – fixing our hospitals, overdevelopment, ensuring we have a strong economy and opposing Labor’s debt.” |
